Kertamuistiin

Kertamuistiin is a Finnish term that appears in discussions about memory and learning. It is a neologism that denotes the act of committing information to memory again, i.e., reinforcing previously learned material through repetition or retrieval. The word is formed from a root suggesting repetition and the suffix muistiin, meaning into memory or to memory.

Etymology and usage are not standardized. Kertamuistiin is not widely attested in standard Finnish dictionaries, and its use remains noncanonical. In formal or widely accepted Finnish, similar ideas are expressed with phrases such as muistiin kirjoittaminen (putting information into memory), muistiin palauttaminen (recalling to memory), or opiskella ulkoa (to memorize by heart).
