Kelemvor
Kelemvor is a deity in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. He is the god of the dead, the ultimate judge of souls, and the lord of the forgotten. His portfolio includes death, the afterlife, and the passage of souls. Kelemvor is often depicted as a grim, silent figure clad in dark armor, wielding a greatsword. He is not a malicious deity, but rather a neutral force representing the inevitable end of all mortal lives. His followers are often those who counsel the dying, those who perform funerary rites, and those who protect the deceased from desecration. His divine realm is known as the Great Glacier, a desolate and cold place where souls are judged and then sent to their final resting places. Kelemvor ascended to godhood after his mortal life, and his teachings emphasize acceptance of death as a natural part of existence, rather than something to be feared or defied. He disapproves of undeath, seeing it as a perversion of the natural order. His symbol is a bare, skeletal hand.
