Keinovalikoimaan

Keinovalikoimaan is a Finnish term used in public administration and policy analysis to refer to the collection or portfolio of policy instruments available to authorities for achieving defined objectives. The word combines keino meaning "means" or "instrument" and valikoima meaning "selection" or "assortment". The illative form keinovalikoimaan denotes movement into or inclusion within the toolkit, for example in formulations such as laajennetaan keinovalikoimaan (to expand the toolkit).

Policy practice frequently describes problem-solving as the use of a coherent keinovalikoimaan, or instrument mix, rather than a single measure.
