Katalüüsile
Katalüüsile refers to the process of catalysis, a fundamental concept in chemistry where a catalyst is used to increase the rate of a chemical reaction without being consumed in the process itself. Catalysts work by providing an alternative reaction pathway that has a lower activation energy, meaning less energy is required for the reaction to occur. This leads to a faster rate of reaction, often by several orders of magnitude, without altering the overall thermodynamics of the reaction, such as the equilibrium position or the net change in enthalpy.
