Kasvuindeksin
Kasvuindeksin is a term used in Finnish statistical and policy discourse to refer to a growth index, a statistical indicator designed to summarize the growth performance of an economy, a sector, or other systems over time. There is no single universal Kasvuindeksin; instead, the phrase may refer to several related composite indicators published by statistics offices or research institutions. In general, a Kasvuindeksin is constructed by combining multiple underlying data series into a single index. The base year is set to a fixed value, often 100, and subsequent observations express relative growth since that year. Common inputs include real GDP, industrial production, employment, investment, and productivity measures. Weights may be fixed or updated periodically. Some implementations adjust for seasonality and price changes to capture real growth.
