Kassavarmuuteen, also known as cassava blight, is a fungal disease that affects cassava (Manihot esculenta), a root crop of significant importance in many tropical and subtropical regions. The disease is caused by the fungus Xanthomonas oryzae pv. manihotis (Xom), which is a bacterium that can also cause bacterial blight in rice.
