Kasrey

Kasrey is a fictional town in the country of Eldoria, used in regional planning and travel writing as an illustration of a mid-sized settlement. It sits near the Kas River, in a landscape of rolling farmland and low hills. The population is around 18,000 and the town covers roughly 12 square kilometers.

The name Kasrey is believed to derive from the ancient Kas language, meaning "meeting place." The town’s setting blends agricultural land with modest urban development, including a central market district and a riverside promenade.

Historically a market settlement established in the 14th century, Kasrey grew through textile production and eventually diversified into light manufacturing and services. Today its economy relies on agriculture, small workshops, logistics, and retail, supported by a regional road and a railway spur connecting to larger urban centers.

Kasrey is governed by a town council with a mayor. It maintains a small cultural scene, including an annual harvest festival and a local museum. A historic Kas River Bridge is a noted landmark, and education is provided by two primary schools, one secondary school, and a community college.
