Karnauba

Karnauba is a type of palm tree native to northeastern Brazil, scientifically known as Copernicia prunifera. This tree is most famous for producing carnauba wax, a hard, yellow wax secreted from its leaves. The wax is harvested by drying the leaves and then beating them to dislodge the fine powder. This powder is then melted and purified to create carnauba wax.

The carnauba palm is a resilient plant, thriving in arid and semi-arid regions. Its distinctive fan-shaped leaves are covered in a thick layer of wax, which acts as a protective coating against the harsh sun and dry conditions.
