Karbaminowych
Karbaminowych is a Polish term that translates to "carbaminic" in English. It is most commonly associated with carbaminic acid, an unstable compound formed when carbon dioxide dissolves in water. This acid is a key intermediate in the transport of carbon dioxide in the blood of vertebrates. When carbon dioxide enters the bloodstream, it reacts with water to form carbonic acid, which then dissociates into bicarbonate ions and protons. A small fraction of carbon dioxide also reacts with amino groups in hemoglobin to form carbaminohemoglobin, a more stable carbaminic compound. This process plays a significant role in regulating blood pH and facilitating the removal of carbon dioxide from the body. The term "karbaminowych" can also refer to compounds containing the carbamate functional group, which is derived from carbaminic acid. These compounds have various applications, including in pesticides and pharmaceuticals. In toxicology, some carbamate pesticides function by inhibiting cholinesterase enzymes, disrupting nerve signal transmission.
