Kadiogo

Kadiogo is a province located in the center of Burkina Faso. It is one of the 45 provinces of the country and is situated in the Centre region. The provincial capital and largest city is Ouagadougou, which also serves as the national capital of Burkina Faso. Kadiogo is the most populous province in Burkina Faso, largely due to the presence of Ouagadougou.

The province is bordered by other provinces within the Centre region and the Centre-Nord region. Its economy is heavily influenced by its status as the administrative and economic hub of the nation. Agriculture, though present, plays a less dominant role compared to other rural provinces, with commerce, services, and administrative functions being more significant.

Kadiogo's landscape is characterized by a Sudano-Sahelian climate, with a distinct rainy season and a long dry season. The terrain is generally flat to gently undulating. The province is a melting pot of various ethnic groups, reflecting the diverse population of Burkina Faso, with the Mossi being the most prominent.
