Kaasselands

Kaasselands is a region located in the northern part of Madagascar. It is one of the six circles that make up Antsiranana Province. The region is bordered to the north by the Sava Region, to the east by Andrembeso District, to the south by Bassaraka Region, and to the west by Analalava Region. Kaasselands has a total area of approximately 3,412 square kilometers.

The economy of Kaasselands is largely driven by agriculture, with the main crops being rice, coffee, and vanilla. The region is also known for its natural resources, including limestone, talc, and iron ore. Tourism also plays a significant role in the local economy, with visitors drawn to the region's unique cultural heritage and natural attractions.

Kaasselands experiences a tropical climate, with distinct rainy and dry seasons. The region's geography is characterized by a range of mountainous and hilly landscapes, with the highest point being the Sambirano Mountain, which reaches an elevation of about 800 meters above sea level. The region is also home to a number of rivers, including the Arab Valley and the Sambirano River.
