KLIA2
KLIA2 is the low-cost carrier terminal at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Malaysia. It opened on May 2, 2014, replacing the former LCCT terminal. KLIA2 is designed to handle a high volume of passengers and is a hub for low-cost airlines, most notably AirAsia. The terminal features a large, modern design with extensive retail and dining options. It is connected to the main KLIA terminal via a walkway and a shuttle bus service, allowing for easy transfers between flights. The terminal's infrastructure includes multiple piers, check-in counters, immigration, and customs facilities, as well as a large baggage handling system. KLIA2 has the capacity to accommodate up to 45 million passengers annually. Its development aimed to support the growth of budget aviation in the region and enhance passenger experience. The terminal's operations are managed by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad.
