Kõrvanibule

Kõrvanibule is the Estonian word for earlobe. The earlobe is the soft, fleshy lower part of the external ear. It is composed of adipose tissue and is not made of cartilage, unlike the rest of the auricle. In many cultures, earlobes are pierced for decorative purposes, such as wearing earrings. The size and shape of earlobes can vary significantly between individuals and are a distinct anatomical feature. There is no known significant biological function for the earlobe, though it is richly supplied with blood vessels. In some cases, the earlobe can be affected by conditions such as tears or stretching due to the weight of jewelry.
