Kézíráselemzés

Kézíráselemzés, also known as graphology, is a pseudoscience that claims to determine a person's personality traits and characteristics by studying their handwriting. Proponents of kézíráselemzés believe that the way a person forms letters, the slant of their writing, the pressure applied to the paper, the spacing between words and lines, and other visual aspects of handwriting can reveal psychological information. These analyses often look at factors like the size of the writing, its consistency, the loops and connections between letters, and the overall flow.

The practice has a long history, with roots in the 18th and 19th centuries. While some individuals find the interpretations of kézíráselemzés insightful or entertaining, it is not recognized as a scientifically valid method for personality assessment by the mainstream academic and psychological communities. Scientific studies have largely failed to demonstrate a consistent and reliable correlation between handwriting characteristics and personality traits. Critics argue that any perceived accuracy is likely due to Barnum-Strokes, where general statements are made that can apply to many people, or to the subjective interpretation of the analyst. Despite its lack of scientific validation, kézíráselemzés continues to be used in some informal contexts and by individuals seeking alternative methods of self-discovery or personality profiling.
