Júdeában

Júdeában is a small, uninhabited island located in the Adriatic Sea, approximately 1.5 kilometers off the coast of Istria, Croatia. The island is part of the Istrian Archipelago and is situated near the town of Poreč (Parenzo). Its name derives from the Latin *Iudaea*, which may have been a misinterpretation of an earlier name or a reference to the island’s historical or mythological associations.

Júdeában is notable for its unique geological features, including steep cliffs and a small, rocky terrain. The island is primarily composed of limestone and dolomite, typical of the Karst region. Due to its remoteness and lack of infrastructure, it has never been permanently inhabited, though it has been used as a refuge or shelter by fishermen and sailors over the centuries.
