JuxDomain
JuxDomain is a proposed open standard for domain naming and resolution that aims to decouple domain ownership from centralized registrars and improve resilience and privacy in internet addressing. The project envisions a hierarchical but portable namespace whose ownership is verifiable with cryptographic keys, and a resolver protocol that can operate over traditional DNS infrastructure as well as in decentralized networks.
Origin and development: JuxDomain was initiated by the Jux Initiative, a collaboration of researchers and engineers
Technology and architecture: The core components include a distributed domain registry that records ownership proofs, a
Status and reception: JuxDomain remains largely experimental with limited deployment. Proponents cite potential reductions in reliance
