Juuksetüüpidest refers to the classification of hair types. While there isn't a single universally adopted scientific classification, hair is often categorized based on its texture, thickness, and curl pattern.

Texture can be broadly divided into straight, wavy, curly, and coily or kinky. Straight hair, often referred to as Type 1, tends to be smooth and lacks any natural bend or wave. Wavy hair, or Type 2, falls between straight and curly, forming S-shaped patterns. Curly hair, or Type 3, exhibits a more defined spiral or corkscrew shape. Coily or kinky hair, Type 4, has very tight curls or zig-zag patterns that can be extremely dense.

Hair thickness, or diameter, is another common way to describe hair. Fine hair has a small diameter, feeling very thin to the touch. Medium or normal hair has a moderate diameter, and coarse hair has a large diameter, feeling thicker and often coarser.

Within these broad categories, further distinctions are made. For example, wavy hair can range from loose waves (2A) to defined waves (2B) or tight waves (2C). Curly hair is similarly graded from loose curls (3A) to tight corkscrew curls (3C). Coily hair is also classified from its pattern and density.

Understanding juuksetüüpidest can be helpful for selecting appropriate hair care products and styling techniques, as different hair types have unique needs regarding moisture, strength, and manageability. This categorization aids in developing personalized hair care routines that promote the health and appearance of one's hair.
