Juneau

Juneau is the capital of Alaska and the seat of state government. It is located in the southeastern part of the state on the Gastineau Channel at the head of the Lynn Canal, a fjord-like waterway connected to the Gulf of Alaska. With a population of about 32,000, it is the second-most populous city in Alaska after Anchorage.
