Jordanbävningar, also known as Jordan Quakes, refers to seismic events that occur within or affect the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The country is located in a seismically active region due to its position along the Dead Sea Transform fault system, a major plate boundary that separates the Arabian Plate from the African Plate. This geological setting makes Jordan susceptible to earthquakes, although major destructive events are not as frequent as in some neighboring countries.

The Dead Sea Transform is a left-lateral strike-slip fault that extends for over 1,000 kilometers. It runs through Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey.
