Jizan
Jizan, also spelled Jazan, is a region and governorate in the southwestern part of Saudi Arabia along the Red Sea coast. The capital and largest city is Jizan. It borders Yemen to the south, Mecca Province to the north, and Asir Province to the east; the Red Sea lies to the west. The landscape combines a narrow coastal plain with the Sarawat Mountains inland, producing a hot, arid climate with higher rainfall in the interior hills. The Farasan Islands, a notable archipelago off the coast, are part of Jizan and include a marine national park and diverse wildlife.
