Jieyang

Jieyang is a prefecture-level city in eastern Guangdong Province, People's Republic of China. It is part of the Chaoshan region, together with Shantou and Chaozhou, and serves as a political, economic, and cultural hub for the area. The city sits along the eastern coast of Guangdong, with a landscape that includes coastal plains, river valleys, and upland areas.

Administratively, Jieyang governs several county-level divisions within its prefecture, spanning urban districts and rural counties. The municipal government oversees economic development, urban planning, and public services for a population in the multi-million range.
