Jedwards

Jedward are an Irish pop duo formed by twin brothers John and Edward Grimes. Born in Dublin, the brothers rose to prominence in 2009 as contestants on the seventh series of The X Factor UK, where they were paired as a duo during the competition and became known for their high-energy stage performances, distinctive bright hair, and energetic dance routines. Their X Factor run helped establish a large teen following and led to a continuing career in music and entertainment.

Following The X Factor, Jedward released multiple studio projects. Their debut, Planet Jedward, came out in 2010, establishing their signature fast-paced, pop-dance style. They continued to release music and perform internationally, maintaining a busy schedule of concerts, television appearances, and live events.

Jedward represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest on two occasions. In 2011, they performed Lipstick and finished eighth in the final. In 2012, they returned with Waterline but did not advance to the final. Their Eurovision appearances contributed to their international profile and helped sustain their presence in the pop and entertainment scenes over the ensuing years.
