Jahanpanah
Jahanpanah was the fourth historic city of Delhi, founded by Muhammad bin Tughluq in 1326 AD. The name Jahanpanah translates to "Sanctuary of the World." Tughluq intended to create a capital city that would encompass and connect the existing cities of Delhi, namely Qila Rai Pithora and Siri, to provide better security and administrative control.
The city was strategically located between the older fortified cities of Siri and Qila Rai Pithora. Muhammad
