Ivati

Ivati is a small rural settlement located in the western region of the Republic of Luritania, near the confluence of the Nira and Valten rivers. The village lies at an elevation of approximately 410 meters above sea level and is part of the administrative district of Kolar, which is governed by a local council elected every four years.

The population of Ivati was estimated at 1,240 inhabitants in the 2022 national census. The community is composed primarily of the Lurian ethnic group, with a minority of migrant families from neighboring provinces. The predominant language is Lurian, although a significant portion of residents are bilingual in the national language, Lurian Standard. The local economy is based on subsistence agriculture, with wheat, barley, and legumes cultivated on terraced fields. Small‑scale pastoralism and seasonal fishing in the nearby rivers also contribute to household incomes.

Cultural life in Ivati centers around the annual Harvest Festival, held each September, which features traditional music, dance, and communal feasting. The village maintains a primary school that provides education up to the sixth grade; secondary education is accessed in the district capital, Kolar. Healthcare services are limited to a basic health outpost staffed by a nurse and visiting physicians.

Infrastructure development has been modest, with a paved road connecting Ivati to the regional highway completed in 2018. Electricity is supplied by a micro‑hydroelectric plant on the Valten River, while satellite internet access became available in 2021, improving communication and access to information for the residents.
