Ishlaydilar

Ishlaydilar is a verb form found in Turkic languages, most commonly encountered in Uzbek and related dialects. It encodes the third-person plural subject performing the action of the verb ishla-moq, meaning to work or to operate. The form is built from the stem ishlay- plus a present-tense or continuative marker and the plural suffix -dilar, yielding a finite verb that translates roughly to “they work” or “they are working,” depending on the language variety and context.

In Uzbek and some dialects, the same idea can also be expressed by other present-tense forms such as ular ishlayaptilar or ular ishlaydilar, which shows variation in aspect and form. Therefore, ishlaydilar should be understood as one of several related conjugations rather than a single fixed form across all Turkic languages.

Usage of the form appears in everyday speech and writing, particularly in sentences where the subject is plural and either explicit or implied. It is typically used in present-tense contexts, whether habitual or ongoing, and is often seen in narrative or reported speech.
