Involvrisation

Involvrisation is a term that describes the process of making something more complex or complicated, often unnecessarily. It can refer to the addition of extra features, steps, or considerations to a process, product, or situation that were not originally present or required. This can happen intentionally, perhaps to enhance functionality or security, or unintentionally as a result of evolving requirements, a lack of clear communication, or a desire to be overly thorough.

The concept of involvrisation is often discussed in contexts where efficiency and simplicity are valued. For instance, in software development, adding too many features without careful planning can lead to involvrisation, making the product harder to use and maintain. Similarly, in business processes, overly complex procedures can slow down operations and increase costs. The opposite of involvrisation would be simplification or streamlining.
