Invalidenversicherung (IV) is the Swiss public disability insurance, part of the country’s social security system. It provides income replacement and supports rehabilitation and integration for people whose earning capacity is permanently reduced due to illness, injury, or disability. The aim is to prevent poverty and to promote participation in work and society.
