Intramembranarins
Intramembranarins are a recently described class of proteins that are embedded within cellular membranes. Their defining characteristic is their transmembrane topology, where they span the lipid bilayer of a cell membrane. Unlike many well-studied transmembrane proteins such as receptors or channels, intramembranarins are primarily located within the interior of the membrane, often interacting with other membrane components. The term itself, intramembranarin, highlights their association with the membrane interior.
Research into intramembranarins is ongoing, and their precise functions are still being elucidated. However, preliminary studies
