Intracellulaar

Intracellulaar is a term used in biology and medicine to describe processes, substances, or locations that occur or exist within a cell. It is the opposite of extracellular, which refers to anything outside of a cell. Understanding the intracellular environment is crucial for comprehending a wide range of biological functions, including metabolism, signaling, and the replication of viruses.

For example, certain bacteria and viruses are intracellular pathogens, meaning they invade and replicate within host cells. Similarly, some therapeutic drugs are designed to target intracellular molecules or processes to treat diseases.
