Internetitelefonia, also known as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), is a technology that enables voice communications and multimedia sessions to be transmitted over the Internet and other IP networks. Instead of relying on traditional circuit-switched telephone lines, internetitelefonia converts analog voice signals into digital packets. These packets are then sent across the internet to their destination, where they are reassembled into analog signals for the recipient to hear.
