Interfered

Interfered is the past tense of interfere, a verb with several related meanings. In everyday language, to interfere means to involve oneself in a matter where one is not needed or invited, often with the effect of hindering or changing the course of events. In science and engineering, interference is a separate noun referring to the phenomenon where waves overlap to shape a resultant wave; “interfere” is used in a different context, e.g., “The two signals interfere, causing noise.” In legal or professional contexts, “interfered” may describe improper or unauthorized involvement that violates norms, policies, or rights, but judgments depend on rules of the jurisdiction and situation.
