Interarytenidmusklerna, also known as the transverse arytenoid muscles, are a pair of intrinsic muscles of the larynx. They originate from the lateral surfaces of the posterior arytenoid cartilages and insert onto the contralateral lateral surfaces of the posterior arytenoid cartilages. Therefore, they run transversely across the posterior larynx, connecting the two arytenoid cartilages.
