Integrointivakio, often denoted by the letter C, is a term that appears when performing indefinite integration of a function. When we find the antiderivative of a function f(x), we are essentially looking for a function F(x) such that its derivative, F'(x), equals f(x). However, the derivative of a constant is always zero. This means that if F(x) is an antiderivative of f(x), then F(x) + C, where C is any constant, is also an antiderivative of f(x).

For example, if we integrate the function 2x, we find that x^2 is an antiderivative because the derivative of x^2 is 2x. But the derivative of x^2 + 5 is also 2x, and the derivative of x^2 - 3 is also 2x. Therefore, the indefinite integral of 2x is written as x^2 + C, where C represents all possible constant terms that could have been present in the original function before differentiation. The indefinite integral is thus a family of functions, differing only by a constant value.

The value of the integration constant C is typically determined by additional conditions, such as an initial condition or a boundary condition, if the problem requires a specific antiderivative. In the absence of such conditions, C remains an arbitrary constant. It signifies the inherent ambiguity in reversing the differentiation process without further information.
