Infektiosität refers to the ability of a pathogen, such as a virus, bacterium, fungus, or parasite, to establish an infection in a susceptible host. It is a crucial characteristic in the study of infectious diseases and epidemiology. High infectivity means a pathogen can easily spread from one individual to another or from the environment to a host. This transmissibility is influenced by several factors.
