Inelastikus

Inelastikus refers to a concept primarily used in the context of economics and physics, particularly in the study of supply and demand, elasticity, and material behavior. The term is not a standard or widely recognized word in English but is sometimes used in certain technical or specialized discussions, particularly in Hungarian-language economic or financial contexts.

In economics, the term *inelastikus* (Hungarian for "inelastic") describes a situation where the quantity demanded or supplied of a good or service does not respond significantly to changes in price. Inelastic demand or supply occurs when the elasticity coefficient is less than 1, meaning that a given percentage change in price results in a smaller percentage change in quantity demanded or supplied. This often happens with essential goods, such as medicine or gasoline, where consumers will continue purchasing them regardless of price fluctuations.

In physics, the term *inelastikus* (or "inelastic" in English) describes collisions where kinetic energy is not conserved, unlike in elastic collisions. In such cases, some of the kinetic energy is transformed into other forms of energy, such as heat or sound, leading to a loss of energy in the system. Inelastic collisions typically result in the objects involved deforming or sticking together.

The term is also occasionally encountered in financial discussions, particularly in Hungary, where it may refer to fixed or rigid financial structures that do not easily adapt to market changes. However, its usage remains niche and is not part of mainstream economic or financial terminology in English-speaking regions. Clarification of context is often necessary to fully understand its intended meaning.
