Induktionsmessung

Induktionsmessung, also known as induction measurement, is a method used to determine the properties of electrical conductors or magnetic fields by utilizing the principles of electromagnetic induction. This technique relies on Faraday's law of induction, which states that a changing magnetic field through a coil of wire induces an electromotive force (voltage) in the coil.

In a typical induction measurement setup, a time-varying current is passed through a primary coil, generating a changing magnetic field. This magnetic field then interacts with a secondary coil or the material being tested. The induced voltage in the secondary coil or the material is measured and analyzed. The magnitude and characteristics of this induced voltage are directly related to the electrical conductivity, permeability, and geometry of the object under investigation.

Applications of Induktionsmessung are diverse. It is widely employed in non-destructive testing (NDT) to detect surface cracks, material defects, and variations in material properties in metals without causing damage. In metrology, it is used for precise measurements of electrical conductivity and magnetic permeability. Furthermore, induction measurements play a crucial role in the development and calibration of inductive sensors, which are integral components in various industrial automation systems, proximity sensors, and metal detectors. The method offers advantages such as non-contact measurement and the ability to probe materials through non-conductive barriers.
