IndoMaritians refers to people of Indian origin who reside in or have strong ties to maritime regions. This broad term encompasses individuals who have migrated from India to coastal areas worldwide, as well as those living in India's own extensive coastline and island territories. The term highlights a shared heritage and connection to the sea, often influenced by historical trade routes, colonial past, and contemporary economic activities.

Historically, Indian diaspora communities have established themselves in port cities across Southeast Asia, East Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.
