Indikatorpapier
Indikatorpapier, often translated as indicator paper, is a type of paper impregnated with a pH indicator. pH indicators are chemical substances that change color at specific pH values. When the indicator paper comes into contact with a liquid, the pH indicator reacts with the hydrogen ions (H+) in the solution, causing a visible color change. The color observed is then compared to a color chart provided with the indicator paper to determine the approximate pH of the liquid. This allows for a quick and easy estimation of whether a substance is acidic, neutral, or alkaline.
