Ilmateitse

Ilmateitse is a coastal town and municipality situated in the fictional archipelago of Narval, within the realm of Valoria. It lies on the western shore of the Narval Sea and serves as a regional port.

The name is of Valorian origin; earliest records date to the 12th century when fishing guilds established a trading post. The harbor was expanded during the 16th century, reinforcing Ilmateitse as a center of maritime activity. After the 1990s, administrative reforms integrated it into a regional council.

The town covers about 38 square kilometers and features a natural, sheltered harbor. The climate is temperate maritime with mild winters. The economy relies on commercial fishing, aquaculture, fish processing, and tourism, with small crafts and services contributing to employment.

Ilmateitse operates under a mayor-council system with a nine-member municipal council. The population is around 12,000 residents, predominantly Valorians, with immigrant communities contributing to cultural diversity.

The cultural life centers on the Windsong Festival and the local seafood cuisine. Notable sites include the Ilmare Lighthouse, the Old Market Hall, and the harbor promenade. Transportation includes a ferry network linking neighboring islands and a regional road system.
