Some toxicities may be dose-dependent and require monitoring and dose adjustments.

Precautions and interactions: renal or hepatic impairment can worsen toxicity. Ifosfamide is a prodrug activated by hepatic enzymes, so concomitant drugs that induce or inhibit these enzymes can alter efficacy and toxicity. Mesna and hydration remain important protective measures, and patients are monitored for neurological and urinary adverse effects.
