Ichazos

Ichazos is a town and municipality in the central highlands of Veridia, a fictional country. It has about 3,800 residents and covers 52 square kilometers. The name is said to derive from a local word meaning "meeting point," reflecting its historical role as a regional crossroads.

Located in a river valley at 600–900 meters above sea level, Ichazos lies amid mixed forests and farmland. The Ich River flows nearby, supplying irrigation and historically serving as a trade route.

The settlement dates to the 12th century and developed as a market town within regional networks. It gained municipal status in the 19th century and saw modernization in the early 20th century, including a light railway line.

The economy is largely agrarian, with cereals, fruit, and wine production. Small manufacturing and services support the surrounding farms, while local markets and logistics create basic regional employment.

Ichazos hosts an annual harvest festival with music and crafts. Notable sites include a 17th-century parish church and a central plaza with a memorial. The town also maintains a public library and community centers.
