ITtoodete

ITtoodete is a Japanese idol group produced by Johnny & Associates, a talent agency founded by Johnny Kitagawa in 1962. The group made its debut in 2004, with its full lineup consisting of eight members. ITtoodete was one of the younger idol groups in J-Pop at the time, aiming to appeal to a younger audience.

The name "ITtoodete" roughly translates to "could it be?" or "is it possible?" in English, likely referring to the group's aspiration of reaching the top of the music industry. Their official debut single, "Kenna no hi", was released in August 2004, although little is known about it.

Following their debut, the group faced several lineup changes. Their succeeding singles, "Boogie Boy" and "Merry-go-round" were released in 2005, receiving moderate success. Their music often catered to a young demographic, blending elements of pop-rock and electropop.

ITtoodete parted ways with Johnny & Associates and disbanded in 2006. At the time, the exact reasons for the group's disbandment were not publicly disclosed. The group's final single release was "Let's go," which failed to perform significantly at the Japanese music charts.

No official repackaging of their music or compilation albums for the group have been announced. However, their solo discography continues to appear on some individual music charts and subscription-based music services. Despite their limited success, ITtoodete contributed to the shaping of J-Pop's ever-changing musical landscape, gracefully exiting the idol scene in 2006.
