I60

I60 refers to Interstate 60, a proposed but ultimately unbuilt auxiliary Interstate Highway that was planned to run through the states of Pennsylvania and Ohio. The designation I-60 was originally intended for a route that would have run from Erie, Pennsylvania, south to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and then continued on to the West Virginia border. However, the route was never constructed.

Later, in the 1960s, the I-60 designation was reconsidered for a different route. This proposed I-60 would have run east from near Youngstown, Ohio, through Pennsylvania, and would have terminated near Scranton, Pennsylvania. This segment of highway was intended to connect Interstate 80 and Interstate 76. This plan also failed to materialize, and the highway was never built.

The concept of I-60 has since been utilized in popular culture. The 2001 film "Interstate 60" uses the fictional highway as a metaphorical journey, where a young man is granted a wish to have any desire fulfilled by a mysterious benefactor who drives a magical car. The film explores themes of dreams, choices, and the pursuit of happiness, with the nonexistent highway serving as a backdrop for surreal encounters and philosophical musings. The actual planned routes for I-60 have largely been absorbed by existing state and U.S. highways, or were never developed.
