Hörvermögen
Hörvermögen refers to the ability to perceive sound. It is a complex process involving the outer, middle, and inner ear, as well as the auditory nerve and the brain. Sound waves enter the ear canal and cause the eardrum to vibrate. These vibrations are then amplified by the ossicles in the middle ear and transmitted to the cochlea in the inner ear. Inside the cochlea, fluid motion stimulates tiny hair cells, which convert the mechanical vibrations into electrical signals. These signals travel along the auditory nerve to the brain, where they are interpreted as sound.
The ability to hear can vary significantly between individuals and can be affected by age, genetics, exposure
Assessment of Hörvermögen is typically performed by audiologists through various hearing tests. Early detection and intervention
