Hydrodemontage

Hydrodemontage is a construction and demolition technique that utilizes high-pressure water jets to dismantle structures. Instead of traditional methods involving heavy machinery, jackhammers, or explosives, hydrodemontage employs specialized equipment to generate water streams at extremely high pressures, often exceeding 10,000 psi. These powerful jets can precisely cut through concrete, steel, and other construction materials, allowing for controlled demolition and removal.

The process involves skilled operators directing the water jets to carefully detach sections of a building or structure. This method offers several advantages, including reduced dust production compared to dry cutting techniques, minimized vibration, and enhanced safety by allowing workers to operate at a greater distance from the demolition zone. Hydrodemontage is particularly effective in confined spaces, sensitive environments, or when preserving adjacent structures is critical. The water used can also be recycled, contributing to a more environmentally friendly approach to demolition.
