It operates on the principle of Pascal's law, which states that a pressure change in a confined fluid is transmitted undiminished to every portion of the fluid and to the walls of the container.

The hydraulic pump generates pressure in the system, while the control valve regulates the flow of hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic suspension systems offer several advantages over traditional leaf spring or coil spring systems. They provide a smoother ride, better handling, and improved stability. They also allow for independent suspension, which means each wheel can move independently of the others, further enhancing the vehicle's performance.

However, hydraulic suspension systems also have some drawbacks. They are more complex and expensive than other types of suspension systems. They also require regular maintenance to ensure the hydraulic fluid remains clean and at the correct pressure.

Hydraulic suspension systems are commonly used in high-performance vehicles, off-road vehicles, and heavy-duty trucks. They are also used in some aircraft and marine applications.
