Huuhteluvaihe

Huuhteluvaihe refers to the rinsing stage in various processes, most commonly in laundry and dishwashing. In the context of washing clothes, the huuhdeluvaihe follows the main wash cycle. Its primary purpose is to remove detergent residue and any loosened dirt particles from the fabric. This is achieved by introducing clean water into the washing machine drum and agitating the clothes. The water is then drained, and this cycle may be repeated one or more times to ensure thorough rinsing. Some washing machines offer a "rinse and spin" option, which combines rinsing with a high-speed spin to extract excess water.

In dishwashing, the huuhdeluvaihe serves a similar function. After the main washing cycle, which uses hot water and detergent, the dishwasher fills with clean water to rinse away any remaining food particles and detergent. This rinsing water is then drained.
