Hullámjelenséget

Hullámjelenséget refers to the phenomenon of wave propagation. It describes how disturbances or energy travel through a medium or space. Waves are characterized by their amplitude, wavelength, frequency, and speed. Amplitude is the maximum displacement or extent of oscillation, wavelength is the distance between successive crests or troughs, and frequency is the number of complete oscillations per unit of time. The speed of a wave is determined by the properties of the medium through which it travels.

There are two main types of waves: transverse and longitudinal. In transverse waves, the particles of the medium oscillate perpendicular to the direction of wave propagation. Examples include light waves and waves on a string. In longitudinal waves, the particles of the medium oscillate parallel to the direction of wave propagation. Sound waves are a common example of longitudinal waves, consisting of compressions and rarefactions.

Waves exhibit several key behaviors, including reflection, refraction, diffraction, and interference. Reflection occurs when a wave bounces off a surface. Refraction is the bending of a wave as it passes from one medium to another, often due to a change in speed. Diffraction is the spreading of waves as they pass through an opening or around an obstacle. Interference happens when two or more waves overlap, resulting in either constructive interference (amplitudes add up) or destructive interference (amplitudes cancel out).
