Hullámelméletet, which translates to wave theory, is a fundamental concept in physics that describes phenomena in terms of waves. Historically, the debate between the corpuscular theory and the wave theory of light was a significant development in understanding its nature.

The wave theory posits that light propagates as electromagnetic waves, characterized by properties like wavelength, frequency, and amplitude. This perspective successfully accounted for many optical observations that the particle theory struggled with. However, the development of quantum mechanics later introduced the concept of wave-particle duality, suggesting that light exhibits both wave-like and particle-like behavior, depending on the experiment.
