Hortens
Hortens refers to a type of hydrangea variety, specifically a species of flowering shrub within the Hydrangea macrophylla group. Hortensia is an older name for this variety, which has been used in European cultivation for centuries. Hortens involves complex genetic interactions between multiple alleles that determine floral, and hence, corolla color. This gene interaction has an underlying phenomenon called incomplete dominance or a codominance relationship in the cases of blue- and white- performing alleles which are limited in "Rb" (a color-linked allele). On the other hand, an album color "1" removes the cherry and results in the blue "2" that is without discolouration.
